Mr. Jay Singh Baghel, Founder and CEO of D’Room Stories Hotels, has been celebrated with two prestigious titles by The Today Club: ‘Most Promising Hotelier of the Year’ and ‘Youth Icon of India – 2024’. These accolades recognize his visionary leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, and significant contributions to society.
An alumnus of Bishop’s School, Pune, and a BBA graduate from Alwar, Jay furthered his education with an Advanced Diploma in Marketing from NAMS Mumbai and a PGDM in Marketing from Welingkar’s Institute Mumbai. His career began with notable roles as the Regional Sales Head for Evening Flavors and IndiaMart, where he demonstrated his marketing acumen and leadership skills.
In 2015, Jay embarked on his entrepreneurial journey by founding Vivacious Hospitality Ventures Pvt Ltd, which later became D’Room Stories Hotels. Under his leadership, D’Room Stories Hotels has redefined the boutique hotel industry, setting new standards of excellence and innovation. His forward-thinking approach and commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality earned him the ‘Most Promising Hotelier of the Year’ award.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jay’s leadership extended beyond the business realm. He provided crucial support to communities across North and South India, showcasing his dedication to social causes. His efforts during this challenging time solidified his reputation as a compassionate leader and earned him the ‘Youth Icon of India – 2024’ award for his contributions to youth empowerment and social welfare
Jay’s influence also extends to his role as Karnataka State President of Karni Sena, where he oversees national and state-level activities. Additionally, he is an accomplished athlete, having represented Pune in Basketball at the Nationals, participated in Chess for the Pune district, and engaged in boxing with the Pune Police Academy.
